Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapy

When you are diagnosed with a heart or lung issue, Dun-Dix Healthcare Clinic offers cardiac rehabilitation services that will help you realize how your general health and everyday routines must change through simple but very effective therapy treatments.

You may easily improve both your heart health and your physical health by following the instructions in a program that was developed by one of our physiotherapists in Mississauga. That said, these therapy options are also essential for your rehabilitation whether you’ve had a heart attack, had heart surgery, gone through heart failure, or have heart disease.

How Can Our Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapists Help In Mississauga?

Physiotherapy in Mississauga has the ability to help with various conditions. In certain circumstances, such as after a general anesthetic, while using a ventilator, or in particular illnesses such as cystic fibrosis, an excessive amount of secretions may accumulate in the lungs. If untreated, this may result in regions of lung collapse that make breathing challenging and make it difficult for your body’s organs to get adequate oxygen.

Physiotherapy attempts to enhance exercise tolerance, decrease breathing effort, and cleanse the lungs of secretions. For patients who need mechanical ventilation, physiotherapy is crucial to preventing or treating respiratory problems. This makes it feasible for ventilation to be terminated as soon as possible, which helps save the amount of time spent in critical care and encourages a prompt hospital departure.

I’ve had shoulder pain since a car accident I experienced a few years ago and I had gone to physio for a while until I decided to stop my treatment. Recently I had been noticing that my shoulder is getting worse again so I decided to go to this clinic for some help. I am really glad I did. The physio services they offer were better than any i’ve had before and they actually provided me with the exercises to do on my own so I can keep working on the recovery of my shoulder at home. Overall im really happy and would recommend this clinic to anyone in the area.
